Ghostbusters versus Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
An important element in a cagematch is the quality of ass that you have kicked. Awesome ninja weapons and nuclear reactors won't make much difference if your foe isn't up to the challenge. So the final post here in our pop culture comparison is enemies.
Both groups have so much material to choose from due to the video games, movies, comics, cereal boxes, action figures, TV shows, and Halloween costumes out there that I am going to have to pair down to the biggest baddies that they faced. Let's go with the following rankings.Ghostbusters:
- Stay Puft Marshmellow Man
- Baxter Stockman
Cagematch battle: Go!
So I do realize that the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is just another form of Gozer, but that one character is the most recognizable enemy of the Ghostbusters. Baxter Stockman created the Mousers that were the bane of my existance in the TMNT video games and occasionally turned into a fly (the lexicon isn't all that consistent for this character). However, I don't care how many Mousers Baxter throws at him or if he turns into a fly or not, Stay Puft wins out here. Look at him. Its a ginormous evil man made of marshmallow ready to crush your ass. Fun fact: in the movie the marshmallow goo was shaving cream.
I'm giving this one to Krang, mostly cause Vigo the Karpatian was one of the most ineffective villians ever. Sure he did some mind control, but in the end he was a little bit of a push over. Krang and his suit takes Vigo down.
For this battle I will assume we are dealing with the lethal ninja master with the entire disposal of the Foot. Heck it could even be both robot and ninja-human Foot (the cartoon had robot ninjas). Even so I don't think that Gozer would have much trouble at all. What she lacks in ninja skills (she does do some nifty flips to avoid the proton streams) she makes up for in mind reading, gargoyles, and lightning. Oh and don't forget some soft of bubble suit. It took a total protonic reversal to bring her down. Can Shredder say that?
There you go, 2-1 for Ghostbusters.
