Why I Like Burn After Reading

Posted by Royalcow

I finally got around to seeing Burn After Reading this past weekend and of course I liked it. I like nearly everything after all. Before I go any further, here is the trailer (red band even).

My initial expectations of the movie was pretty much my expectations for any Coens brother's movies: well cast, darkly funny, and entertaining. My expectations in this case were exceeded mainly by George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Not that I didn't expect good performances from these two excellent actors, I just enjoyed their performances the most. Of course there's John Malkovich playing a crazy-ass dude, but he does that too well to be a surprise.

My favorite part you ask? That has to be the contraption that George Clooney builds. For those who have seen it, let me know what you thought in the comments. Oh and don't bother staying for the end. No crap after credits for this one.

I liked it too, but then again I also like most everything.

One thing this movie made me realize is Brad Pitt needs to do more comedy.

@ross
Completely agree. I remember seeing 12 Monkeys and being blown away by his comedic acting chops.
