Mortal Kombat vs. DC [Fatality]

Posted by Double M

Some of my favorite arcade games growing up were the Marvel vs. Capcom games. They were awesome because it gave you the chance to be some of your favorite superheros (like Wolverine and Spider-man) in a fighting game but the games themselves weren't too intense (so you could button mash at times).

Well, about 15 years late, Mortal Kombat has finally gotten their shit together to create Mortal Kombat vs. DC. And it looks awesome (plus it features Wonder Woman so its kinda topical for IR). For instance, here's some footage from the game featuring The Joker.

In any case, one of my favorite things from these games is always the fatalities (or "Heroic Brutalities" as they are called for the heros), and someone has put together a compilation of them all on YouTube already.

Some of them are week, but there are some really good fatalities in there. I don't have a 360/PS3 so I won't be able to play this game, but if someone else has played it, let me know how it is.

I loved Mortal Kombat as a kid, and to this day think the Mortal Kombat movie is entertaining. Sad thing about the game itself is they had to censor it to get it to a Teen rating. If you notice on the Fatality videos the Jokers kill shot was off screen the first time and on the second (blurry). Apparently the European version doesn't have this censored.

Someone find me this European video - I live for animated violence...

Also, I hope you're referring to the first Mortal Kombat movie, which was actually a decent watch.

Oh certainly the first one. Christopher Lambert FTW.

Wheezy wanted me to post this comment for him, he can't since he's on a road trip, yet he can still read this post and watch the vids-

"Best Heroic Brutality: Captain Marvel's Lightnin Slam
Best Fatality: Sub Zero's Overhead Smash
Most in Character: Joker's "Bang" Gun
Most Absurdly Comedic/Awful: Katana's "Bloat Kiss"

Winner: Me. YouTube Mobile App for Windows Mobile is awesome. Immediate Regret during a roadtrip is awesome-er.

Loser: Blogger, or possibly Mobile Opera or Mobile IE. Comments apparently don't work on the mobile thing."

@Wheezy Wow, looks like your cellphone sucks. My iPhone is pretty badass, I can make drunken comments like I have before (unfortunately not tonight)
