Posted by Double MSince Saved By Zero is no longer on TV (Praise the Lord!), the most annoying commercial on TV is Beyonce's really f-ing old Upgrade U Direct TV commercial. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here it is:
I immediately regret making you watch that video. If you've never seen that before, you may be wondering why that commercial is so bad. Well, imagine seeing Beyonce's shitty dance moves and the annoying "Upgrade U" hook about 1000 times (that commercial is over a year old).
Look, I get it, Beyonce, when made up, is attractive but that's no excuse for being annoying. Her latest songs If I Were a Boy (awful) and Single Ladies (which did yield an awesome SNL skit with Justin Timberlake but is otherwise atrocious) make me want to punch myself in the head until I pass out. And to top it all off, she's going to be in a (unofficial) remake of Fatal Attraction or Devil in the Flesh (which were basically the same movie) called Obsessed which looks awful. Good times!
But I digress, the whole point of this post was to let you know that the awful Upgrade U hook from the Direct TV commercial is actually part of a crappy music video. Jay-Z is featured on this song, but apparently he realized it was an atrocious song and decided not to show up for the video. Anyway, here's the video in all its glory.
In conclusion, Beyonce, while attractive, makes awful music. When listening to music/watching TV, I wish I could get a 5-second Beyonce warning so I could change the station/channel and avoid her all together.

You know what's also a real song? Saved By Zero. Listen around the 3 minute mark for the part Toyota yanked for its commercials.
First of all I have to admit that I liked the song when the album was first released, butI never saw the video. Some coworkers recently asked if we could get Beyonce to sing that song when we release a new version and hand out Upgrade chains to everyone. They were shocked to learn it's a real song.
Second of all, that movie looks awful but I don't mind seeing Ali Larter and Beyonce rumble. My money is on Larter.
