Tale of the Spaghetti Cat

Every once in a while, the something happens that makes the intermists go wild. One such thing, last August, was the Spaghetti Cat (pictured on the left). People everywhere went nuts for the clip, because it is hilarious. I even named one of my fantasy football teams Spaghetti Cat. Good times. Well, over the last couple of days, the mist has been rumbling for the Spaghetti Cat again, this time because of a genius video someone created called "Spaghetti Cat (I Weep For You)." Of course, because it is what I do, I have included the video below. If you have not watched it yet, stop what you are doing (this includes reading this site) and click the play button on the video to watch it.

That was awesome, huh? So, if it came out last weekend, you may be asking yourself why its taking me this long to post it? Why not just put it in a 5 Minute Fix so everyone can enjoy? Because people are failing to give you the entire Spaghetti Cat story. If you think that 4 months passed without a Spaghetti Cat reference, you were sorely mistaken my friends.

So what has the Spaghetti Cat been up to since his initial TV appearance? Well, he/she must have a good agent because the Spaghetti Cat parlayed this fame into a movie appearance with Lou from The Soup (watch that linked clip if you have a sec).

Of course, The Soup never let the Spaghetti Cat die which meant that they had to take their running joke to the next level each week. This led to the Spaghetti Cat actually making a physical appearance on the set.

Yes, Joel just kissed the cat. Of course, it was just a puppet. This imposter caught the eye of The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, the people that first brought us the Spaghetti Cat. They, of course, used the Spaghetti Cat for free publicity and gave us a look at the real Spaghetti Cat.

So now you know the full story. FYI, The Soup has a whole bunch of Spaghetti Cat jokes (they are but a smattering of jokes in that clip, however), so the Spaghetti Cat lives on.
