5 Minute Fix: America's Funniest + TF2

Even if you don't play Team Fortress 2 the sound effects just make this so much better. Good way to spend a Thursday morning.

I'm Still A Kid

Posted by Double M

Every once in a while, I worry that I'm getting a little old (I own a house, I have a son, and perhaps most damning - I have a weather radio. It is for my wife because she's obsessed with the weather but I get the safety value in having it...Seriously, if there's bad weather where you live you should probably get one if you sleep through anything like I do...but I digress).

Then I see a clip like this, laugh, and realize that I'm not an old gray bush yet.

The best part of that is Orel Hershiser explaining it back to the audience in pretty much exactly the same words without laughing.

This clip now becomes the best clip from the College World Series this year, topping the shot of Erin Andrews' butt.

Ghostbusters. The Video Game

Posted by Royalcow

We have covered Ghostbusters quite a bit on IR, so by now you know we are huge fans. So I couldn't resist picking up the Ghostbusters video game. First things first: anytime I hear the Ghostbusters theme I hear this (some NSFW audio):

Glad to have that out of the way. The game itself is a lot of fun. Being a hi-def junkie I went for the XBOX 360 instead of the Wii and have yet to be disappointed. All of the Ghostbusters look great and the original voices add a lot to the game.

You play a 5th Ghostbuster that basically tests all of the new equipment. It really feels like you are starring in the 3rd Ghostbusters movie along side the original cast. The game play is fairly self explanatory: you bust ghosts. There is a lot of that, but there is enough variety that it hasn't seemed boring or repetitive yet.

The game is really fun so I would certainly recommend it for a rental and if you are a big fan its a pretty fun one to own. I haven't played the Wii version yet or done much in the multiplayer part in the game so if you have I would love to hear about it in the comments.

The Press Hop

Posted by Double M

This video has been slowly making the rounds yesterday and today but it is too good not to post mainly because I love all of these press conferences way too much.

Gracias to my hombre Shabutie for the hook up on this one.

Dinosaurs Saying Hello

Posted by Double M

Hey everyone - the reason for the big delay is that this post is actually post #400 on this site. We were hoping to do something cool, but we all are just to damn busy. So, it is back to the regular stuff.

In any case, did you know that this week is Ross' wedding? And what better way to celebrate this, the week of Ross' wedding, than with an awesome dinosaur video.

Guitar Hero: Smash Hits

Posted by Royalcow

We all have played Guitar Hero or Rock Band by now, so you know the deal. This is tiny fake plastic instruments combined with rock and roll which we love so much here at IR. So what's the gimmick for this version you may ask? Is it some other band which you may or may not like? Not this release. Smash Hits is basically GH greatest hits. Think of all those songs you loved way back in Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3, 80s edition, or Aerosmith and some of those made it into this version, except with all master tracks and remixed for guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.

Instead of linking to the wiki with the setlist (oh alright here it is), embedded below is a Grooveshark playlist with all the songs included in GH:SH (click through if it doesn't show up in your reader). Enjoy!

Even "GraphJam" can be made dirty

Posted by MajorLB

Through the joy of the Facebook news feed and a tethered phone with unlimited data plan I found this website called GraphJam. It's part of the icanhazcheesburger family so maybe this is totally old news. Whatever these two graphs made me laugh. This first one is for everyone who maybe enjoyed Twilight (book or movie) but really doesn't understand the obsession.

The second is for pretty much all of my friends from college and my friends that read this blog.

Pretty accurate.

The Best Street Fighter Video I Have Seen This Year

Posted by Double M

My boy JonD sent me this video yesterday and since I love a good Street Fighter parody as much as anyone, I've decided to post it here today. If you've ever player Street Fighter 2, you'll enjoy this.

I wonder how sore that dude was after fighting that car?

Bonus, since I referenced Street Fighter, it gives me the license to post this video which is only slightly less funny now that I have a child.

Why I Liked The Hangover

Posted by Royalcow

I have been looking forward to this movie since I first saw a preview for it (as always it is included below). The cast looked great and the premise sounded hilarious so I had really high expectations for The Hangover. The preview below is slightly spoilery so if you are totally against that kind of thing go here for the original trailer post right here on IR, although you will be missing Ed Helms singing (oh and maybe a little NSFW, not too bad though).

Hands down the best part of this movie is Zach Galifianakis (click through to that to see his profile picture - hilarious). He absolutely steals every single scene he is in, which isn't a surprise to those who have seen his stuff. Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms also were great in the movie and the three guys really played well off each other. Some great supporting cast as well: Justin Bartha (who plays Doug), Mike Tyson, Heather Graham (still looking good - to the left), Jeffery Tambor, Rob Riggle, Ken Jeong, and The Dan Band.

As much as I was looking forward to this movie, I would have to say that my expectations were exceeded for this movie. I laughed most of the entire way through and not just small giggles. Also there's crap during credits, but it is pretty obvious when. In any case, go see this movie.

Enjoy!

Zack Morris and Zack Attack on Jimmy Fallon

Posted by Double M

I don't know if you watch Jimmy Fallon but one of the running sub-plots of his show is trying to get a Saved By The Bell reunion together on his show.

I've been waiting to post anything about this until it actually happens (I don't want to get your hopes up), but Zack Morris showed up on the show this week and it is too good not to post. I know you may think I mean Mark-Paul Gosselaar, but I actually mean Zack Morris.

It is 9 minutes long but if you were a fan of Saved by the Bell it is worth every second.

Someday, when that reunion happens, it will be awesome.

Would you be able to get away with a commercial like this.

Patrick Duffy and the Crab

Posted by Double M

You'd think with as much as I'm around the mist I'd have stuff figured out but every once in a while something just blows my mind. This is one of those cases. Here is Patrick Duffy, also known as the dad from Step-By-Step, talking with a crab. It also happens to be about a three-some with Courtney Cox.

You know with dialog like that, Step-By-Step could have lasted a few more seasons.

There are two more videos and just because I don't like to leave you with just one video, I'll put another one here.

Get Your Basketball On

Posted by Double M

For the last few days, I've been seeing this picture as an ad in some of my feeds in Google Reader featuring Charlie Murphy in a ridiculous pose with a basketball.

Well, last night, I saw an actual commercial for the ad and I have embedded it below.

Based on that ad, I had no clue what was really being sold, so I went to the website, GetYourBasketballOn.com and learned nothing. There are some really funny things on the website including this image:

If oyu haven't figured it out from the commercial, that image should give it away as a Nike marketing ploy. The whois for the domain indicates this as well.

It doesn't really matter to me - this seems like a funny advertising idea and I like Charlie Murphy, so I'm interested to see where this goes.

Breaking: Japan Still Makes Crazy Videos [Inochi]

Posted by Double M

I have no clue what the hell this his, but it is clearly some crazy Japanese show/commercial/mindf-. I don't even know how to describe it other than it borders on being child porn without showing any nudity/features a dude that looks like Sloth's brother, and gets the WTF tag here on IR.

What better way to start the weekend?

Have a good weekend.

Lonely Island: The Remixed Medley

Posted by Double M

I don't know if you watched the MTV Movie Awards last weekend (more on that tomorrow maybe), but there was an awesome video where LeeAnn Rimes, Chris Isaak, and Forest Whitaker performed various Lonely Island hits. You will laugh - especially at Forrest Whitaker, but you might have to sit through a commercial so sorry about that.

I know MajorLB rocked a birthday post for Royalcow last week, but due to cpu difficulties I was unable to post this bad ass Muppets version of "On A Boat" which I know he loves. So happy belated birthday, Royalcow.

Someday I want IR to have an intro video like this

Posted by Double M

Back-to-back ad agency posts. Its almost like we're looking for someone to help us redesign the website and get some more publicity...
...
...
...
Anyway, here's an awesome commercial/intro video for Boone Oakley. Their commercial shows several of their clients' commercials which is enjoyable. So enjoy.

If you clicked the link above, you noticed their website just redirects to YouTube. In fact, pretty much their whole portfolio is on YouTube. Well played. Very clever.

Wienerschnitzel Commercials are Awesome

Posted by Double M

I stumbled across these commercials the other day and thought they were genius. There is nothing I can say to make them better.

The first one is entitle "Gotcha" and you'll see why in a few seconds.

In this one, the hot dog has a meeting with Human Resources.

I have no clue what ad agency made these, but I applaud them.

Happy Birthday Wheezy

Posted by Double M

Hey all you hop ons. Guess what? Today is Wheezy's birthday! Usually, this means he is in the process of getting wasted from PBR and Tequila, but since he's all big-time Cali/Hollywood now I'm sure it means he's drinking mimosas out of some underage boys fancy glasses.

Anyway, since Wheezy's got a job and, thus, all the cool toys, I didn't know what to get him, so I found him a couple mist videos with some ideas.

If you don't know him, Wheezy is a nice guy and he's always willing to help youngsters (like I was at one point) become more enlightened and experienced. One of the ways he does this is by passing along his sage advice (such as, "When you're hungover, just keep eating cups of ramen until you don't puke anymore. Then you'll know that you're not hungover anymore."). I'm worried that as he's getting older people may start ignoring him, so, if you want, I'll help you get an auto-tuner worked into your shirt so you'll always sound like Kanye. Here's an awesome example:

All it would take is an auto-tuner. Or you cuold just get that clever "Play button"-er shirt. That would work too.

Wheezy also loves animated robots. I think he gets a 3/4-chub every time he hears the name Wall-E. So what better present to give him on his birthday than a robot dance off.

Happy Birthday, hombre.

Men Vs. Wild

Posted by Double M

I don't know if you watch Man vs. Wild, but you should because it is very informative - especially if you have the irrational fear of being kidnapped by some crazy drug lord, transported to the middle of nowhere, and having to escape.

Anyway, here's a preview for tonights episode that you really should watch.

Calling all Gold Diggers

Posted by Double M

I saw this in a feed earlier today and thought that it was speaking to a specific demographic:

I'm not sure who is on that site but it seems a bit ridiculous.

Sooooo, who's going to sign up? I vote Wheezy and MajorLB.
