Posted by Double MMy real Gmail account is a pretty generic email address, so I get legit emails missent to me all the time. Normally I'm cool about it and I just send back an email informing them they have sent it to the wrong person - of course, that doesn't always work. Then I become not so cool.
For instance, one time on some sort of mass email thread in which I was invited on a ski trip (I don't even really like skiing - last time I went I almost killed someone). I emailed the first person and said they had the wrong Double M. Instead of being taken off the list, all of those people began heckling me for not responding. So, I had to respond to the whole list telling them to find the right person. Instead of saying sorry, I got 5 emails that varied in response from not believing me to straight ignoring me. As a result I signed those 13 emails up for 25 various junk mail offers and other spammy things over the next day. Hope they enjoyed a slew of BS in their inbox. Not coincidentally the emails stopped.
Another instance of craziness with my email happened when some guy entered my email for his Match.com account. After contacting Match.com and this guy and receiving no response for 2 weeks(!), I decided to go onto his account, change his password and search out people I knew (I found a surprising number - you know who you are - which was moderately alarming). Then I changed the email to some other random address, letting them have their fun.
All of this brings me to adf09x3@aim.com. I have no clue who this guy is, but I received an email from him asking for my article to Guidepost News. I have no clue who this person is or what Guidepost News is but I definitely don't write for them (I hardly have time to write here anymore). I politely responded to inform him/her of the mistake and assumed it was over. Instead, here is a picture of the email I received:
No, adf09x3@aim.com, your email IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Not only am I not a writer for your ungoogleable site, but your email was so outrageous that I now have to take action. So, hop ons, what should I do to adf09x3@aim.com? Any good suggestions? I want him to immediately regret emailing me...

you dont think guideposts.com is there site?
if it is, get there address and start signing up for free samples of stuff (condoms, tampons, etc.) and sending them to his email at there address. my friends used to do this to me in high school and it pissed me off.
I debated, but I don't think Guideposts.com is their site. I would assume he/she wouldn't sign GUIDEPOST NEWS if it was Guideposts, but I could be wrong.
Write mock articles about stupid shit and submit them!
I'm pretty sure this is for a high school newspaper.
Yeah, Ms. Kahn works in the English department:

Ross, are you connected to what is going on in all high schools across the nation now or are you just a huge Guidepost News fan?
That email has at least a half dozen clues that it was written by a high school student and not a legit periodical.
Google and Wikipedia made it pretty easy to track down Ms. Kahn.
I was gonna suggest that you submit something really shocking that would make this person actually pay attention to who they think you are. Something that should get you fired immediately, to get all of this cleared up. Write or send something offensive and then at the end write "Are you paying attn now?" and then explain the mix up.
These post is great which you can share is really very great. I was gonna suggest that you submit something really shocking that would make this person actually pay attention to who they think you are these all are great to know about it.
I knew that (I found a surprising number - you know who you are - it was fairly alarming.) Then I changed the email to another address at random, letting them have fun.
