There's been a ton of chatter about this lately, but I'm going to give my take on it anyway.
Go log into Facebook. Then click Profile >> Edit Friends (it is in the top-right corner). Then start scrolling through your friends and ask yourself these questions:
- Do I gain any personal, comedic, or business value by being friends with this person on Facebook?
- Do I have to be friends with this person on Facebook? (for whatever reason - you know what I mean)
If you answered yes to either of those questions, move onto the next friend. Otherwise, ask yourself these questions:
- Did I know this person was married?
- Did I know this person has kids?
- If I was visiting a city this person lived in, would I call them?
- Do I care what is happening in this person's life?
If you said "no" to any of those questions about someone then you should probably de-friend them.
If you're still on the fence about them, ask yourself this one last question: do I want this person to be able to see everything (or anything) about me?
"No?"

This handy feature built in to WP7 is to add a point for the phone market.
A friend messaged me her qualifications and she had a question that I thought was interesting:
"When I see your name, do warm memories come to mind?"
For me, this is rolled into my final question, but it is a valid point.
Oooh I like that one. I'm still FB friends with someone who I haven't had any contact with in 8 years but we were friends for pretty much my whole life prior to that so I like having that weak, tenuous connection to her. Bonus: she's still friends with all of the people from high school so I get brief glimpses of them as well through her profile.
Nothing like a little FB stalking.
To be fair, I have Shorty's account for that, but I never use it because I just don't care
She is always the friend of all the people from high school, so I'm short sighted of them, and thanks to his profile.
I have a lot of Facebook friends that I don't know very well, most of them being fellow writers and bloggers, or lensmasters on Squidoo.
I find it handy to have so many friends, in the hope that my articles get more exposure, and a lot of us do actually interract, which is nice.
The thing that annoys me are friend requests from people who I have nobody in common with. Those always get ignored, since the accounts almost always look spammy.
I just removed 50 FB friends!

Heres the link you pick what group they ought to be in u may even make groups, well the new facebook doesn't let someone see you are friends anymore anyways. Facebook introduces new options that make it all feasible.
