Parkour Animation

Posted by Wheezy

Either that, or it's the most complex paper fortune teller ever made, and only answers the question "What is the one thing I should never try to do that I really really want to try?"

And since the word "Parkour" came up...

The Terrorists are in Alaska

Posted by Wheezy

And they've apparently purchased a collegiate hockey team. Don't risk their wrath against luxury cruise liners, just let them have the ... trophy... thing. Whatever they give college hockey champions.

Maybe our agent in the north can handle this. What's that? She's a FOX News Contributor now? Nevermind.

You Play to Win The Game

Posted by Double M

It's Friday, and I am going to list some things I love:

1) Great football press conferences
2) Autotune
3) Those Coors Light commercials where they remix coach press conferences.

So, it is no surprise that I would love a video by DJ Steve Porter featuring coach press conferences.

H/T: Deadspin

Apparently DJ Steve Porter does all kinds of these videos (other than the Press Hop video linked above and this video. You can see more at YouTube. Here's an awesome one about the awesome show Community.

Anchorman in Real Life

Posted by Double M

I spent my morning listening to an old MOP song that I had just been introduced to - Blow The Horns. It is the kind of rugged hip-hop that just makes your head nod.

But all that stopped when I saw this video which I have now watched like 10 times. This is like the promo from Anchorman but in real life.

I had no clue that news stations had full-blown intro songs like 80's and 90's sitcoms did. The mustaches! The giant microphones! The jazzy theme song! Genius.

Make sure you enjoy the computers in the newsroom and the television set at the end.

Music from last year

Posted by MajorLB

All of December you pretty much can't get go to any website with running smack into some top ten or top 20 list of the year. This year was particularly bad because it was the end of a decade. While I never do one myself I enjoy the music lists because I either discover good music I missed or I have my opinions/tastes validated. A good friend of IR's @BryantBone provided a top 20 songs list that I quite enjoyed. In the comments, however I told him that he was missing two things on the list.

1) Seattle Hip-Hop but I think I may have already shared some a couple of times

2) David Bazan

He's been around awhile, formerly with Pedro The Lion, but this year he release Curse Your Branches and toured with a full band. I was lucky to see him at Neumos earlier this year with Say Hi and Sea Navy. I'm beyond stoked to see him this Friday in some stranger's living room.

This is my favorite song at the moment, but you should really check out the whole album and his myspace page (even though only the first song on there is from Curse Your Branches). Side note: I'm quite sad Myspace has taken over imeem

Jersey Shore: Great Show or Greatest Show

Posted by Double M

The answer is great show, but I needed a title to put two random things in a post.

1) This awesome picture:

Snookie on the drums is ridiculous.

Unrelated, I hope the Jersey Shore people get blended into the Real World/Road Rules Challenge (which is, in fact, the greatest reality show on TV outside of the NBA) just because I would love to see some of the white trash fights.

2) This video of the Snookie punch reenacted by dogs

That is all.

The NFL Regular Season is Over... [Awesome stiff arm]

Posted by Double M

...but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy one of the most bad ass stiff arms of all time:

H/T: 30fps

Yes, I know I shared this, which means it came through Twitter and Google Reader already, but it is still worth it.

Happy New Year.
