We Like Lost!

Posted by Double M

This video is a few months old but I needed to post it for 3 reasons:

1) I love Lost
2) This is a great spoof of We Like Sports from Lonely Island which is a spoof band to begin with, which is awesome.
3) I wanted to promote my new favorite blog FuckYeahLost of which I tried not to share every freaking post. It did have this video though:

I think the title of this post says it all. Get to at least 1:10.

What Do You Say We Make Apple Juice and Fax it to Each Other [Star Trek]

Posted by Double M

I'm a sucker for misheard lyrics videos, so when someone dubs over 2+ minutes of Star Trek, you know it is going to make me laugh. Even if you don't like Star Trek, you should enjoy this.

So is Obama Palpatine or Vader?

A Camel Up A Hill

Posted by MajorLB

Yes this is juvenile. Yes, this isn't that well made. No, I do not care.

Dear adf09x3@aim.com, I Don't Know Who You Are...

Posted by Double M

My real Gmail account is a pretty generic email address, so I get legit emails missent to me all the time. Normally I'm cool about it and I just send back an email informing them they have sent it to the wrong person - of course, that doesn't always work. Then I become not so cool.

For instance, one time on some sort of mass email thread in which I was invited on a ski trip (I don't even really like skiing - last time I went I almost killed someone). I emailed the first person and said they had the wrong Double M. Instead of being taken off the list, all of those people began heckling me for not responding. So, I had to respond to the whole list telling them to find the right person. Instead of saying sorry, I got 5 emails that varied in response from not believing me to straight ignoring me. As a result I signed those 13 emails up for 25 various junk mail offers and other spammy things over the next day. Hope they enjoyed a slew of BS in their inbox. Not coincidentally the emails stopped.

Another instance of craziness with my email happened when some guy entered my email for his Match.com account. After contacting Match.com and this guy and receiving no response for 2 weeks(!), I decided to go onto his account, change his password and search out people I knew (I found a surprising number - you know who you are - which was moderately alarming). Then I changed the email to some other random address, letting them have their fun.

All of this brings me to adf09x3@aim.com. I have no clue who this guy is, but I received an email from him asking for my article to Guidepost News. I have no clue who this person is or what Guidepost News is but I definitely don't write for them (I hardly have time to write here anymore). I politely responded to inform him/her of the mistake and assumed it was over. Instead, here is a picture of the email I received:

No, adf09x3@aim.com, your email IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Not only am I not a writer for your ungoogleable site, but your email was so outrageous that I now have to take action. So, hop ons, what should I do to adf09x3@aim.com? Any good suggestions? I want him to immediately regret emailing me...

Where Are They Now: Girl from 'My Girl'

Posted by Wheezy

I'm trying to introduce a new segment here at Immediate Regret called "Where Are They Now?". It could just as easily be called "Wheezy looked It Up on IMDb." Maybe they'll give us a sponsorship one day.

Anyway, today's subject is that girl from 1991's My Girl, Anna Chlumsky.

The most interesting sounding movie of Anna's post My Girl achievements (aside from My Girl 2 of course) is Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain (1995), costarring Christina Ricci (fresh off her role in Casper). The title of this movie is a bit misleading by Kanye's standards, but here's the trailer for your amusement.

I believe I also caught a glimpse of a young Jewel Staite of Firefly and Serenity fame.

Of course this segment isn't called "What'd they do Right After the First Time You Saw Them?", but rather "Where Are They Now?" Well 'Girl from My Girl' has recently made a triumphant return to prominence in Season 1 of 30 Rock (2007) as Liz Lemler.

And there ya have it. 'Girl from My Girl' would later be fired in that very episode by Liz Lemon. So I guess she's looking for a job again. Best of luck "Girl from My Girl".
